Correcting Misspelled Words

by rhyttinen on March 3, 2008

By default, as you type in Microsoft Word, any misspelled words are underlined with a red squiggly line.  This tells you that Word’s built in dictionary does not recognize the word.  To correct the error, right-click on the underlined word and choose the suggested correct replacement from the contextual menu.

If the underlined word is valid and you don’t want Word to flag it again in the future, choose “Add” from the contextual menu.
