Add a Blank Line above a Word 2007 Table

by rhyttinen on November 10, 2008

If you create a new Word document that contains a table (or create a table at the beginning of your document), you may discover that there is no paragraph mark above the table.  This means that you are unable to type any text above the table.

There is a quick and easy way, however, to add a blank line above a table:

  1. Click in the very first cell in the table
  2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

This will add a new blank line above the table and you can begin typing your text.
