Hide the Office Ribbon

If you feel that the Microsoft Office Ribbon is taking up valuable screen real estate, you can easily hide it and display it only when needed. Double-click on any of the tabs to hide the Ribbon – only the Menu Bar will then be displayed. Clicking on any of the menus on the Menu Bar (Home, Insert, Page Layout, etc.), will cause the Ribbon will display temporarily so that you can make your selections.

To unhide the Ribbon, double-click on any of the menu items on the Menu Bar.
