Awhile back, I discovered an awesome little plug-in called CosmoPod that lets you download videos from the Web (YouTube, Web Sites, etc.) to your Mac. After you install CosmoPod, an icon appears on your Safari toolbar; it is only active if there is a video playing on the Web Page.

To download a video from a Web page, play the video on the page and click the CosmoPod icon. The program will download the video, and by default will convert it to iPod format, and import it into iTunes.

If you prefer, you can set CosmoPod to convert the video to Ipod, Iphone or Apple TV from the preferences pane. You can also turn off the Import to Itunes feature from there as well.
