When syncing with third-party applications, we may end up with duplicate entries in our iCal calendar. There is a freeware program called iCal Dupe Deleter (donation requested) that will remove duplicated entries under OS X Tiger or Leopard.

Launch the program and then select the calendar you want to check for duplicates. Click the “Test Selected Calendar” button. If any duplicates are found, click the “De-dupe this Calendar” button to remove the duplicate entries.
