
If you have ever had to rearrange rows in a Word table, you know that it can be somewhat of a time-consuming task. While you can use the cut and paste method, there is a much faster and easier way to accomplish this task. Use the Shift + Alt keystroke combination with the up or down arrow keys quickly change the location of a row in a table.
To Move Rows Up and Down in a Word table
- Click anywhere in the row that you want to move.
- Press Shift + Alt + Up Arrow to move the row up.
- Press Shift + Alt + Down Arrow to move the row down.
This technique also works for moving bulleted list items as well as for moving paragraphs within a document. Nifty, hey?
