Change Paragraph Styles using Keyboard in Word 2007

by rhyttinen on July 8, 2009

If you switch back and forth from the Normal paragraph style and/or use the Heading styles in your work, there are a couple of handy keyboard shortcuts that you might find useful.

  • To apply the Normal Style to the selected paragraph: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • To apply Heading 1 to the selected paragraph: Ctrl + Alt + 1
  • To apply Heading 2 to the selected paragraph: Ctrl + Alt + 2
  • To apply Heading 3 to the selected paragraph: Ctrl + Alt + 3

As I personally prefer to use keyboard shortcuts when working, I find myself using the Normal Style shortcut all the time.
