Microsoft’s Technical Preview Page for Office 2010 is now live. So if you have signed up for Microsoft’s Technical Preview team, you should be contacted shortly if you are selected.

From the technical preview page, you can view a brief video for a brief outline of the new features of each application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, OneNote and SharePoint Workspace). The TechCrunch blog has provided a nice overview of the new features in the Office 2010 applications.

Of particular interest, is that Microsoft will now be offering a Web based version of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote. These will not come with all of the bells and whistles as the desktop version but will supposedly give users all the tools they need to create, edit and share basic document. What is more – the Web versions will be free!
