Setting Paper Size in Word 2007

Setting Paper Size from Page Setup Dialog Box

You may not always be working with the standard paper size of 8 ½” x 11”. Luckily, Microsoft Word can print on different paper sizes such as legal size (8 ½” x 14”) or you can set the size of the paper yourself if you are working with non-standard paper size.

The default paper size in Microsoft Word is is 8 ½” x 11”. This is the standard paper size for most documents.

To Set Standard Paper Size

  1. Click the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
  2. Click the Size button and select the desired paper size.

To Set a Custom Paper Size

  1. Click the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
  2. Click the Page Setup Dialog Launcher to display the Page Setup dialog box.
  3. Click the Paper tab.
  4. Select a preset paper size from the Paper Size drop-down list.
  5. If using custom paper, type in the paper size (in inches) in the Width and Height boxes.
  6. Select any paper source options.
  7. Click OK when finished
