When entering text into a document, Word automatically creates a new page when the text reaches the border of the bottom margin. There are times however when you will want to control the exact location where a page breaks. For example, after a title page, you may wish to begin the actual body of the document on a new page.
There are two way to insert a page break — press the keystroke combination Ctrl + Enter to insert a page break after the insertion point or you can click the Page Break button on the Insert Ribbon.
To remove a page break, ensure that the codes are revealed by clicking the Show/Hide button on the Home Ribbon, select the page break code and then press the Delete key.
