Using the Format Painter Button in Word 2007

by rhyttinen on October 9, 2009

Using the Format Painter button on the Home Ribbon allows you to copy the formatting from one area of text and apply it elsewhere in your document. This feature copies all formats including font typeface, font color, alignment, etc. to the new object. You can copy all of the attributes of an object to several objects by double-clicking the Format Painter button and then selecting the objects in succession to which you want to apply the formatting.
