Did you know that you can use Microsoft Word as a blog editor? Word actually has a powerful blogging feature that allows you to publish your blog posts directly to your site. Additionally, blogging with Word allows you to use the options on the Word blogging Ribbon: WordArt, Symbols, SmartArt, Shapes, ClipArt, SpellChecker and more. You can even use Word’s translation tools for multilingual blogging.

To create a new Blog post, click the Office button and click New Blog Post. You will then be provided the option of registering now or later. You can register an existing blog with most providers such as WordPress, Windows Live Spaces, Blogger, TypePad, SharePoint or Community Services. If you do not already have an existing blog, you can create one from the Registration dialog box.

When registering your blog, makes sure you click on the “Help me fill out this section” link for the Blog post URL. The URL of your blog may not be enough…you may need to enter additional information, depending on your blog host. For example, if your blog is with WordPress, you will need to enter /xmlrpc.php after your blog URL as shown below.
