How to Power Down Windows 10 with a Shortcut key

If you're a keyboard shortcut person, then you may find today's tip helpful. When you are done working in Windows and are ready to shut down your computer or put it to sleep, you can do so with a keyboard shortcut.

There are two ways to do so.

Method 1:

1. Tap the Windows key on your keyboard.
2. Press the Up Arrow key on your keyboard twice so that Power is highlighted.
3. Press Enter.
4. Using your Up Arrow key, select Sleep, Restart or Shut Down from the menu.
5. Press Enter.

Method 2:

1. Press the Windows Key + X keyboard shortcut.
2. Tap the Up Arrow key twice so that Shut Down or Sign Out is highlighted.
3. Press the Right Arrow key on your keyboard.
4. Using the Up Arrow key, choose Sign Out, Sleep, Shut Down or Restart.
5. Press Enter.
