Using Lorem Ipsum Filler Text in Word

If you're ever working on a project where you want to see how a page will look with text before actual copy has been written, you can quickly add dummy text called Lorem Ipsum to your documents. This is especially helpful when providing a prototype to a client who wants to see the design concept before the text is actually written.

The process of using such filler text is often called "Greeking" (even though the text used for Lorem Ipsum is typically Latin). Using dummy text ensures that none of the words will be mistaken for English.

To add Lorem Ipsum to document, begin a new paragraph and type:

=lorem() and then press Enter.

You can create longer or shorter filler text by using two parameters: the number of paragraphs and the number of sentences in each paragraph. For example, if you want filler text consisting of 7 paragraphs with 5 sentences in each paragraph, you would use:

=lorem(7,5)

Lorem Ipsum using parameters

If you prefer the use English words, use =rand() in the manner as lorem().
